School Vision and Mission

Early adolescence is a time of transition. No other age encompasses such a unique range of intellectual, physical, ethical, emotional and social development. To address the special needs of young adolescents, we envision middle schools which:
Provide all students access to a challenging comprehensive curriculum where all can succeed

  • Foster smaller learning environments which nurture relationships with peers, significant adults and the larger world
  • Provide a network of support that promotes the development of physically and emotionally healthy lifestyles
  • Engage families and the wider community to support the learning process
  • Establish a culture and climate of shared responsibility for on-going improvement and growth
  • Create a safe environment which recognizes and respects the diversity of our school community
